Analysis

We gather pertinent information regarding the proposed service and the intended functionality by taking into consideration our client's knowledge of computer, Internet and digital technology. Answer the question… How do you want the end result to affect your audience?

Design, simply put, is a series of decisions along with a healthy dose of creativity. These decisions, however, can proceed along one of two paths:
  • Opinion based decisions: Involves guesswork, assumptions, and dependence on past experiences. This approach creates much conflict since everyone has an opinion, as well as much re-work for all the wrong assumptions and guesses (i.e. higher costs). Data based decisions: Involves data and facts that create a solid foundation upon which educated and informed decisions can drive design.
  • Other benefits include learning and developing domain expertise, expediting and facilitating the rest of the design process, and ultimately, creating solutions that are more likely to be on target.
Research provides a powerful tool for understanding what customers say they want by understanding the things they need and cannot express (implicit knowledge).
