Solution
In discussing how to revamp the web site, it was decided that making the entire thing database-driven was the best solution. Doing this enabled us to create a totally customizable product catalog, where product specifications and product detail images could quickly and easily be searched through on the fly. Additionally, using a SQL database to handle catalog purchasing and product search allowed Walker Zanger customers and distributors to preview the products offered without stopping by the showrooms first. We have also created a solution for the fulfillment center where they can just log on to WalkerZanger.com and download daily orders, reports and tracking information at ease.

Technology
To make all of this happen we used a combination of .html and SQL database to drive the work behind the scenes. Because.html has been a stable language for years, customers have been enthusiastic in how easy it is to complete their orders with very little lag time in generating search results and querying the catalog database for that one specific tile or ceramic that they are looking for.

We also assisted Walker Zanger to establish and build their own dedicated web server to acquire back end specifics related to site reporting and marketing purposes. This server is being hosted by our partner company Verio/NTT.

Conclusion
Essentially, we have rebuilt the site from the ground up - the graphics, UI, the underlying product catalog and shopping cart code. And in this way, Walker Zanger.com has decreased their customer services force by automating their product information through the 24/7 online web presence.
